API Pilot Recruitment

Has anybody ever used API before, and if so, is it true that their recruitment fee is 50% of their candidates first year salary?

We looked at them a couple of years ago. I don't recall what their fee was but they were employer retained meaning the employer paid the fee.

I went through the process with API and it was a nightmare. Just to get through their outrageously long process it involved tons of paperwork/background and finishing with a flight out west to sit down with a shrink for a couple hours. The 2 companies I interviewed with that used them for a short time have now stepped away. Mainly due to cost and the timely nature of getting someone in and established.
