I was 30 when I left Continental. Not bitter about it at all... loved it, but wanted more. I'd love to tell you what I am doing now, but you would spin it in your sick little mind. First friend (DAL 75/76) had been there 8 years, he was 39. Second friend left United A320 when he was early 40s, had been there about 8 years as well. All left for better pay, better QOL, better personal challenges. No early retirement, no bonuses... just personal decisions. I love how you know everything about everyone. Can you go away now troll? Your cave is getting cold. As far as QOL, once again, that is too subjective. If all is true, and they did not have any personal extenuating circumstances, or special early retirement deals, to leave a legacy and go for a corporate, good for them. They are the exceptions to an overwhelming opposite tendency, go wonder why. As far as you, I am still not clear, you left Continental to go to Comair, and then ABX? Something does not make sense. Did you work during a strike? |

Quit hiding in your troll cave. I'll spell it out for you and hold your hand like a small child... I left CAL pre-merger for a 91 corp job flying very nice bizjets. Nothing doesn't make sense except in your feeble mind. I have never looked back... Pay, benefits, QOL, retirement.... All better than where I would have been had I stayed. Personal gratification much higher, too, IMO. Just face it... You don't know everything sport. Good luck to you. I hope you work it out. |

You must be the only corporate pilot that makes more than a legacy heavy captain. And if you are the exception that confirm the rule, don't you see how the tendency is completely the opposite? How many major airlines pilots are flooding the corporate applications? Isn't the other way around? Are all these pilots also feeble minded? You being the smartest? And your dare for my name and address... HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA PLEASE.... Are you a teenager or just mentally challenged? What would you do with my name and address, do tell me Make me lough more, please... |
Not everybody has the personality or desire to be a 121 pilot, even at a major or legacy...regardless of compensation or QOL.
Not everybody has the personality or desire to be a 91 pilot, even at the very best large-cabin operation...regardless of compensation or QOL. What is so difficult for some people to understand about that basic concept? |

You PM saying that you were ready to do the jump to 121 yourself, because you have it with 91. You tried to flatter me on the PM. But you deny it here in public, and say that you will never change your job to go to the airlines. You are weak and miserable. You don't deserve any more answers. I just write you here to call you off, but you will be I ignored after that. You are disgrace. Now go cry to a moderator again, sissy. |

Agreed 100% and that is why talking about QOL is so subjective that becomes futile. Talk money and other quantitative comparable, and the majors win hands down. Why is so difficult for some people to accept this basic reality?
While quality of life is subjective, that does not mean it isn't worthy of consideration for an individual OR that an individual cannot or should not attach a dollar figure to it. I know commuting to fly a narrowbody flying hub turns up and down the east coast (as an example) is my idea of hell, and while it wouldn't always be that way, I value my time and stress higher than the compensation for such a position...especially while my children are young. Others would feel totally differently, and that's okay. Relocation is always an option, but for family considerations, FOR ME, it really isn't. Different strokes for different folks and all that. Happiness doesn't pay the bills, but it sure makes writing the checks less miserable. |

You wouldn't even give the name of the major you got hired with. Adrian Cronauer was right about you! |

Now, refer to my last post to you: Post your name and address. I have a good source that tells me you are a Southwest pilot... and you're strutting around here like you are the president of Delta. |

A simple congrats is flattery? You wouldn't even give the name of the major you got hired with. Adrian Cronauer was right about you! I purged the messages. Do you deny saying you were ready to do the jump from 91 to 121 in the PM? I guess so, since after that you stated in public you would not leave your job. As usual, you don't bring any point to the discussion (beside the offensively lame "to each his own happiness") and you recur to personal attacks. Funny thing is I was not even talking to you, but you are double faced and weak, and it is so tempting for you to just jump in with insults. I really wish for you to leave me alone, since you disagree with me, and you can't eve make any valid point in any discussion. You don't even have regional experience, so you really have nothing to compare, nor anything valuable to say about your experience, since your lack of intellectual abilities. I am done with you. Over and out. P.S. The Cronauer joke you made, nobody lough the first time, useless to try it again. But typical of weak insecure minds like yours, looking for peer consent. |

After what is going on in the world? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA You are hilarious. :D:D:D If I was like other guys around here I would report you to a moderator. But I find you so amusing I don't want you to be banned. My money is that you don't even pubic hairs yet. So, did you work or not during a strike? Where you asked to resign? Why did you go from a legacy to a regional and a lower tier cargo? What you want to do with my name and address? I never claimed to be tough, but I do think I am more intelligent then you, you are digging your self, isn't to hard to outsmart you. |
