Recurrent on a budget
 

I've got one contract client with a CJ2 - and my currency is about to expire (for insurance purposes). Any recommendations on an inexpensive way to get a 61.58? I don't want to spend all the revenue I could potentially earn in the next year staying current.

Take a look at SimCom in Orlando. They have a a CJ2 program.
Remember you get what you pay for.

Seems to me that your rates should include your cost of doing business which, in this case, are your recurrents. I agree with the above; you get what you pay for.

I've talked to several, and everyone wants $5K-$6K. The funny part is some are traditional four day recurrent in a sim, while others say they can do it in as little as one day - and one hour in the plane. Same price.

If the price is the same, I'll do the best training I can get! Now if I could only drum up some more business to make it worthwhile!

What does the owners insurance require?
Some specifically state "formal FAA approved training class" i.e. Flightsafety, simuflite, simcom....

Have you asked operator to help with recurrent? All,half..?
