Does anyone know anything about the QOL with Deere or know anyone who works there? What do they think about it?

Are you aware of a job openning? They make good equipment........

They are listing a co-pilot position based in Moline, IL @ corporate HQ

Their Citation-X sports some hot "Yellow" rimmed wheels. Got a pic on my phone when I saw it on a ramp one day. I'm a farm-kid, so I at least appreciated it.

And on topic, I would think that the QOL would be great, obviously national company with interests everywhere, and I doubt they are just going to disappear any time soon

If they are anything like their competitors flight department, QOL is probably pretty good, but I would guess that they fly the heck out of their aircraft.

Who competes with John Deere in the tractor market? Ford? Caterpillar?

Caterpillar, Agco, Komatsu compete in either construction or agriculture--sometimes both.

Ford sold out it's tractor division in 1993.

I see. I didn't realize any of the major construction manufacturers had any kind of ag division, although I know JD makes light construction equipment.

I thought New Holland was still a division of Ford. We own one but I wasn't around when dad bought it in 2002...:o

Im not sure Cat still makes ag equipment. I could only find used examples in my searching.

Agco owns Massey Ferguseon and others.

Ford sold out to Fiat, but I think someone else owns New Holland now.

Very few compete with JD in an ag capacity, but Deere has strong competition in other areas of their business... I refer to the company that is well known for it's large yellow machines.
