Default Corporate/135 to Major Airline

I am currently a regional 121 Captain. 5,800 TT 1,700 121 PIC. I was offered a good 135 Captain job on a LJ 45 were I live. It would be better money and more days at home. My question is I eventually want to get to a Legacy/FedEx/UPS. Would making this move hurt me or are a lot of guys with my similar qualifications getting called from the 135/Corporate world? Of the guys getting called from the 135/Corporate world what are your times in comparison? Thanks in advance.

I personally know at least four guys who've recently gone back to 121 from corporate with no problems. They all had similar backgrounds, much like yours. Prior airline, moved to corporate for X number of years, now returned to airlines. I had lunch with a couple of them this week, and they both said that the extra type ratings and TPIC gathered while flying biz jets, coupled with their 121 experience was a benefit to getting hired this time around.

Your qualifications already check all the boxes required for a major airline job.

You might have to answer a question about why you "stepped back" from a 121 regional captain to a 135 PIC position...but that shouldn't be too difficult to very positively explain that it wasn't a step back, but rather a move that allowed you to grow professionally with a new type rating in new, sometimes challenging operational environment while providing a positive quality of life change.
