As much as masks have become an identity symbol for some (including POTUS and both houses of Congress controlled by the same party as POTUS), I don’t see this EO ending before it expires. Honestly I think there might even be a slim chance it is extended if they keep hyping the delta variant.
i think this is accurate. Masks are a symbol of safety for many. Even if the federal mandate goes away I think most companies will still require it for crews and a few will probably require it for pax. It’s insane how much psychological damage has been done to this country since March 2020.

Exactly. Remember that the airlines started this nonsense months before it became “Federal Law.” And ALPA National is still all in on masks, despite that position being nowhere close to a consensus of the actual membership.

Thankfully, it always has been optional in our cockpits.
Of course, we still have to participate in Covid theater on airlines and in FBOs or businesses that post the requirement.
Maybe there is hope for airline crew yet.

I'm not so sure. In a rare example of sanity, my company rescinded the mask requirement for passenger interaction July 1. For a very brief moment, it was only rescinded for "vaccinated crew" unless specifically requested by the passengers. Legal quickly modified that to "all crew" unless specifically requested. Otherwise, it is completely optional.

I see this a lot in restaurants. Waiters are still wearing them while serving patrons. This is in a state that rescinded the mask policy early on. I can kind of see us (or at least FAs) in that same group.

I see your comments for those with whom you disagree as emotional hyperbole. You may disagree with someone. You may hate their guts. You may think they are Satan incarnate. But that does not meet the legal definition of war crimes. And me talking facts and logic will just get you mad at me.
