All of these “measures” are nothing but feel good measures.

You guys keep forgetting the residence time of cabin air is much much less than in any home or commercial building. I mean, when you are at FL 300 with a 6000' cabin, there is sure a lot of air always in motion, not to mention the packs filter it a lot more effectively than in a building at ambient pressure.

Not that you can't get sick in this scenario. You absolutely can, but its actually better than most other indoor places.

In a former life, I worked on building control systems (the electronics/software/algorithms that run air handlers, VAV boxes, etc) and I don't think I ever came across a customer building that replaced the entirety of it's air in ~2 minutes like our aircraft do. I agree with you.

so this is more directed towards restaurants and entertainment, but I think this also could apply for airlines. Start at 1:00

it’s part of a system

masks

temp checks

decreased density

total effect can move travel risk from unreasonable to reasonable

Masks but never a call for eye protection? They pushed transmission via ocular orifices very hard from the start. None of the talking heads in any briefing either local or national are donning any sort of PPE nor are they 72 inches apart.

I’m wearing my favorite swim goggles to protect my eyes. It’s got a really cool cat eye design, and of course I can’t forget my lucky glow in the dark snorkel.
