Any proof of infection from plane travel
 

Can anyone point me to evidence of person to person (not traveling together) transmission of COVID 19 on a domestic or International flight?

It obviously could happen. I wouldn't want to fly in a crowded cabin if I was high risk.

While the air circulation is better than an office building, you're still very close to about ten strangers.

I am also curious, it would seem that under normal circumstances the infection rate of people that recently traveled on airplanes would be really high, but I haven't seen any data showing that actually is the case. I know that FA's and Pilots have been infected, but how can you tell where the contracted the virus with reasonable certainty?

Here is what the CDC says about domestic air travel:Because of how air circulates and is filtered on airplanes, most viruses and other germs do not spread easily. Although the risk of infection on an airplane is low, try to avoid contact with sick passengers, avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

If anyone can point to data that could shed some light on this question, that would be great.

Did I ask about flight attendants and pilots? Person's I thought were obviously passengers.

So what are the odds of catching COVID on a flight if everyone including flight attendants are wearing a mask, gloves and washing hands? Add to that planes being disinfected after every flight?

​​​​​​The science now is saying that a person has to come in contact from droplets from sneezing, coughing, handshakes and kissing etc from an infected person. It isn't being "airborne for hours" and infecting everyone in a 200 foot radius as once thought.

There have been very few cases of people having no idea how they became infected. It can almost always be traced back to someone they had very close contact with.

Now this doesn't include things like the New York or London subway.

Do we all really need to be staying at home and not letting more than 10 people in a supermarket if everyone now wears a mask, washes hands frequently and doesn't stand within 6 inches of each other?

I am not sure about legions however it appears a large number of positive flight crews were based or layover in NYC.
