Why would you buy a rental car?
They're ridden hard and put up wet.
Might as well marry a prostitute.

Default Hertz Stock to be De-Listed

https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/...ally-mean.aspx

The NYSE is delisting Hertz stock since it's likely to become worthless. It'll still be available to trade OTC. Hertz is appealing the delisting but the stock is expected to be delisted in the short term.

I’ve owned one in the past and had no problems so I just bought another yesterday.

Picked up a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid with only 16,000 miles. Two full years or 20,000 miles remain on the factory warranty and I can extend the factory warranty later.
The window sticker showed an MSRP of $32,500 and I paid a bit under $16,000.

A former rental that has 50,000+ miles might be a concern. The one I bought is also a boring hybrid so probably not abused too much. Whenever I rent a car I baby it because I don’t want the hassle of dealing with damage or repairs.
I’ll be using it to do DoorDash frequently so it’s going to be getting a lot more abuse from me than any renter would have done.

Not necessarily, and they are maintained properly. There's a limit to how much damage you can do in three years, it's not like people are renting them to do uber or dash-dash.

At least they know what they're doing.

A company in Chapter 11 offering up to $1B in stock...., hmm...think I'll pass.

There is an ongoing fire in Jacksonville, on a ship containing used cars.

Sure seems to be a lot of car fires lately.

They said, if you bought some, it is likely to become worthless. What a world.
