J&J Efficacy drops precipitously from Mar to Aug, down to 3%. Suspected due to a combination of anti-body decline and delta.

FDA Advisory panel recommends a booster for all J&J recipients (at least two months after initial dose).

Looks like J&J was really a two-shot deal all along. Not a big deal in the US, the vast majority of people here got one of the mRNA vaccines.

For some of the reasons outlined in that article Dr. Robert Schooley. Infectious disease physician UCSD. Mentioned last month his best estimate is first quarter 2022 for the delta modification. He also mentioned if your in one of the categories the FDA is recommending a booster for he would do that and not wait for the modification. Probably another reason it’s not being switched right now. You might end up with millions that probably should do a boost waiting for manufacturing to catch up.

The updates were made, and submitted to the .gov months ago, https://investors.modernatx.com/stat...2-d3c2145e99d7
Someone in the Biden admin is blocking the updates.

Pfizer reports 91% efficacy in trials with young children. The timeline of the trials appears to overlap with delta variant prevelance.

Next up, CDC ACIP then final nod from Walensky before needles go in arms.

Late next week, maybe?

J&J vaccine recipients 3.5x more likely to develop blood clots.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...ood-clots.html

(Boy, I'm sure glad I took the company's hired gun doctor's advice and received this shot. Because "science". (Also, no liability for the company, or JnJ. Must be nice to be a big pharma company.)

Oh wait...more risky for women then men. Nevermind.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I guess.

For 3-6 months.

Then boosters.

Forever.

Yes, we already knew that. Women should IMO get mRNA shots although even so the risk is still very, very low. 3.5x a very, very small number is still a very, very small number.

All of these issues are well within the established risk stats for established vaccines (like the flu shot). Make an informed decision.
