Surprised this hasn’t made it up here yet:

https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj.n2635

Looks to me like a lot of underlying data has been manipulated - an issue that many who are hesitant about this thing are keenly aware of. If the regulators can be bought off for a 737MAX, pretty sure they can in the pharma world also. Casts a veil of doubt on any CDC, FDA, or NIH product. Feel free to deny that, but it’s the elephant in the room that no one can get around and the root cause behind the forced (yes, forced) vaccination policies. Bring some integrity back to our system and trust might eventually follow.

Covaxin, an inactivated antigen vaccine, given EUL from the WHO.

Works well against Covid and the Delta variant.

At only $2-$4 a pop, and only recommended for ages 18 and above, you can be certain it will never be approved for US usage.

It probably could be, based on the trial results. But the mfg would have to apply for that approval, and there's a good chance they would need to repeat the trials in the US... regulatory reciprocity is kind of hit and miss in the pharma world.

There are a number of vaccines out there, not all of them will be approved in all countries.

Which is going to lead to interesting challenges going forward deciding who's "fully vaccinated", now that's the law of the land for larger companies in the US.

The US hasn't even begun to address booster mandates for the primary "vaccines" in the US that are currently only good for about 2-4 months without boosters.

Very interested to see if the ultimate winner of the vaccine race is an actual shot who's efficacy is measured in years/decades vs. a few months? Western pharma has little to no financial interest in such a shot, so the India vaccine will be interesting to watch.

It's an inactivated virus vaccine... that is a technology which normally DOES require regular boosters.

Two doses of mRNA vaccine costs what, $30-40?

REGEN-CoV is $2100/dose.

I sure hope the German vaccine recipients did their "due diligence" and "own research" this week, now that Moderna and J&J are no longer considered good ideas. Unlike a few weeks ago, when they were AOK.

(The CDC would like to remind you that it's "people who are pregnant" not "pregnant women". I'm not kidding, that's the CDC website. This proper acknowledgement that all genders may be pregnant inspires great confidence in the CDC, and is why only a science denier would look skeptically at anything the CDC prints.)

One would hope. It was pretty apparent to me many months ago.

People with a BMI over 30 don't appear to be able to produce neutralizing antibodies to the spike.
