In fact until my first 121 job I never worked under a contract. Again even in our world say you want the 777/350/787/747 etc. No airline is going to buy you out forever because you can’t enter other countries. For a lot of airlines even if you are 737/320 pilots you are expected to be able to leave the country. In fact it would not surprise me if they didn’t lean on you based on you being free of international travel restrictions being part of your employment. As to 4 out of 5 parents homeschooling their kids I see zero chance of that as many families could not afford it. Your right it won’t be a light switch it will be a rheostat but make not mistake the direction will be further in favor of vaccines.

Sure I mean but wearing mask has generally been driven by business saying no mask no service. I think it will largely be driven by business again. That said most people’s desire to return to normal will outweigh their desire to fight for too long.

Some will, some won’t. People want what they want. Sometimes that’s what’s actually best for them, but not dependably so. But insisting on vaccinations - even if it’s your company - doesn’t get the customers to agree to get vaccinated. How many incidents have we already had with pax deciding after being airborne they don’t need their masks anymore?

The director of the Center for Health Security at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health on Sunday addressed the possibility of a 50 percent effective coronavirus vaccine, saying it would be “better than what we have.”
Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Tom Inglesby discussed comments by Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious diseases expert, who said that an initial coronavirus vaccine could only be effective for half the population.
“I think we would take 50 percent because 50 percent would be a lot better than what we have now,” Inglesby told NBC’s Chuck Todd.
“We’ll have to see what we get, for the amount of time that has passed … to have a vaccine that’s 50 percent effective in the coming months or the beginning of 2021 would be phenomenal," he added, stressing that a 50 percent effective vaccine would not be ideal.

This is also speculative but I mean to percent effective at preventing infection along with even better protection of more advanced disease would be a win. That’s the thing with the flu vaccine you may still get it but one study in Spain showed 87 percent less chance of going to the hospital. Imagine this if we cut the hospitalization risk by almost 90 percent.

Yeah, I was talking about that before, and there is overwhelming evidence that ~50% of the general public are already immune, so perhaps the vaccine is no better, than saline solution. It's great to have the antibody response, but you don't get the T-cell response.
