need something to take our mind off of these depressing TSA numbers. Now lets all get over excited for that holiday bump that was going to come no matter what before we decend back into depression and joblessness in January.

Seriously? It is a daily SINGLE number. Even those of us who actually LIKE statistics can only bend, spindle, and mutilate a six or (hopefully) seven digit number so many ways. At a certain point, trailing averages, future extrapolations, WOW, YOY, DOD, MOM, etc., just becomes fluff. There are only so many ways one can manipulate a single number a day. Thread drift is inevitable.
