TSA Numbers

The gap is roughly 12% in 2014. 13% in 2019.
Domestic numbers in June of 2015 were 61.8m. If you avg 2m a day, we hit 60m this month.
So we are domestically at about 2015 numbers. 2.2m/day gives is 2016 numbers. It was about 2016 that no carrier could keep up with demand right and hiring started picking up? Then when that merged with 2018 retirements increasing exponentially, demand was hard to keep up with. So we aren’t that far off from that again, even if international doesn’t pickup.
2019 June was 76.7m/m or 2.5m/d. So domestically speaking, we are 80% of 2019…..if all of our 2m/d is domestic. but I don’t know how much of the 2m/d now is international.

In 2019 domestic travel was 811m, international was 241m. Domestic 77% international 13%.
I don’t know international now, but let’s call it 0. And the year isn’t over yet, so we can’t compare that.
So June 2019 was 72.7m domestic, 22.7m international.

Just playing with numbers, if international was half (about 6.5% of the 13% — total 2019 flying), then I could say of the 20% shortfall (today 80% of 2019 numbers), 6.5% comes from international, 13.5% (20-6.5%) comes from domestic. I.e. Domestic is running 1-13.5% = 86.5% of normal. International would be 50% of normal. Again, just loose and fast numbers, but probably not too far off.
