Yes exactly. Unfortunately it’s the case for us. Other countries already have a sense of thinking about the greater good whereas in the US it’s more about the individual. It’s not as if they’re telling you to wear purple pants on Mondays, it’s a pandemic and it’s just a mask to curb the spread of the virus so that YOU don’t affect someone else. Has nothing to do with the constitution, nobody is taking your rights away, it’s not your right to act irresponsibly and infect someone. At the end of the day it’s more about public awareness and educating people. That would have saved many lives.

There are a multitude of other countries where their culture is more concerned about collective security than individual freedoms than this one. Yet strangely, they don’t have one fifth of the world’s total immigrants leaving their home countries to relocate there, either legally or otherwise.

Go figure.

and nearly eververyone of those other countries are seeing spikes as well. So did it really work out better? Not really, nor would have Biden done a better job. Would have make it worse by keeping China open longer because the Left is more worried about political correctness and using the right pronouns instead of doing the right thing.

Biden won but thankfully it looks like the Republicans will keep the Senate to keep the "squad" from taking over Biden and the country. You want to know why so many people voted for Trump? You can thank the radical left for that.

The belief that humanity can decisively control a virus, especially a new virus, is both naive and arrogant. We're along for the ride on this planet whether you like it or not.

We've demonstrated that we can actually LEAVE the planet. I don't think we're along for any rides we don't want to be on.

Sure it is. If you don't have a covid diagnosis (or reasonable suspicion therefore) it's your right to act any way you please. At some point if you're obviously contagious, we can mostly agree that society can place some limits on you. But otherwise, no.

I don't advocate irresponsible behavior, but it's (still) a free country. If you want people to behave in a certain way, you're also free to try to convince them. But you certainly don't have the right to tell everybody else what to do, in any arbitrary fashion or circumstance which strikes your fancy. That's why King George got the boot.
