If it sells some airplanes and creates pilot jobs, great.

“We saw the whole addressable market shift before our eyes,” he said. “If there [were] 100,000 people and businesses that are the private-aviation addressable market [pre-COVID], in the last 120-150 days that has swelled, and I think the whole industry is going to benefit. There’s 2-300,000 people now that are looking at private aviation not as a luxury anymore, but as a necessity.”

If you are not an eskimo, by chance and Arab? Kenny would love to sell you some sand. Operation's are not his strong point but he does have good people in that department. Kenny is SALES / Marketing and you can by a Wheels Up membership at Costco for $17, 500. In 2019 it was $4,695 per occupied hour on the King Air. We had 10 seats and you would not believe what that thing will haul. Mom, Dad, Kids, dogs, skis, barbecue grills, wing lockers full of shotguns, with 5 hunting dogs... On and on. It's cost effective if you put enough people in it.

Kenny is a hoot and an interesting guy in person. He literally could sell sand to a Bedouin. Whether the numbers ultimately work, I have no idea.

Fear of Covid Cathy by the borderline wealthy who mighta, sorta, coulda afforded private aviation before but now decide they WILL afford it will probably result in an uptick in business across the corporate, charter, and fractional segments. That bodes well for Kenny and WU.

5 grand for a King Air? Are they kidding? I can get a CJ (100 knots faster, admittedly less room) for $2.2K/hour...

You aren't putting 8 pax and 800 lbs of luggage in a CJ though.. Plus it's per occupied hr. Good luck having any 135 Operator leave that CJ with you over a three day weekend for free.

The average load in lights and turbos is 2.5 people and light bags to fly for 800 miles.
