16 Repub Senators join Dems in CARES ext
This is looking pretty good, there are more than enough Republican Senators that have joined with the Dems to extent the ban on involuntary furloughs thru March 30th, 2021. It's other factors that are holding up the overall bill right now. In the link below there's an interview with the President of ALPA and near the end a short blurb from SWA CEO:

it’s backward reporting. It was the republicans that put forth a clean extension of the existing Cares Act for enough time to negotiate a more permanent solution. The Democrats tanked it because they want to sends hundreds of billions to liberal states and cities that were going bankrupt even before covid. They’re trying to use pandemic funding bills to cover up the financial failure of socialist policy in those states and cities.... so the Dem majority blocked the straight extension.

Not exactly true. Republicans did not want to extend the $600 per week for UI. So to say it was a "clean extension" is not true.
