several states put Airline crew in group 1B with other groups (NY and Illinois are 2 that I know of) other states are keeping it for elderly and healthcare workers.

All the “no’s” remind me of the difference between doctors and bureaucratic scientists.

You come into your doctor, in a few minutes have a prescription that most likely with cure your problem. If not, come back and we do some tests and/or try something different.

The bureaucratic scientist runs an exhaustive set of tests, right off the bat. Once the results come back, they are still not absolutely certain, at least not 100%. They want to study it some more.

Even the ScYaNcE is starting to prove what we thought all along. The vaccines work like they did for nearly every other disease out there and do indeed reduce the spread as well as protecting those vaccinated against infection or at least severe symptomatic cases.

Security theater continued even after we killed bin Laden. The terrorists are still out there after all, since we found and/or made more. Why should covid theater ever stop? It's fashionable to wear a mask these days. Plus it can't hurt, just like those thousands of man hours wasted on taking shoes off, etc. at the airport. If the government can prevent one death from covid, then it's worth it, right? Forget the fact it's killing everyone slowly. Such sheepish sentimentality will keep us in the $h!tter for a long time yet.
