Mitigation killed aviation but did it help?

I'm trying to figure out, if mask usage is all the rage, how will flu be worse this year?
We definitely did it to ourselves.. Well, I can strongly say I never agreed with any of the shutdown BS. But a certain segment of the population did. And oddly, or suspiciously, there are many who still want a lockdown.
I'll pay full fare $$ to fly on the first maskless airline vs. a free flight on my own. And many will.

And they are being proven wrong on so many Social, Mental and Economic levels. Unfortunately the people who recommended and acted on these theories, aren't going to admit failure and self incriminate themselves....
The CDC also refused to admit smoking was bad for you.
"Experts" using modeling were so far off it should be criminal. Neil Ferguson should be jailed, or beheaded if they still do that in Europe. How a radical group in Europe hasn't taken that guy out yet is kind of impressive.

There's no incrimination if they are using the CDC's recommendations. The CDC is the one you need to take this up with. Someone at the CDC may be accountable, such as the appointed director, but those following their recommendations will be upheld as prudent action by any court of law.
