But what is the limiting principle with this? If they provide the bailout, what happens when that runs out in six months? What is the metric that will be used to show that another bailout is not in the best interest of the public?
Yes what FXLAX said.....Cinco, honestly you are making some really poor arguments here. The government absolutely positively did and continues to clamp down hard on work, commerce, and socialization. Of this there is NO doubt, NONE.

Sorry guys, this bill is not worth it to the American people as a whole. As it stands right now under 100k aviation workers are losing their jobs, let’s just double it and say this bill will save 200k jobs for 6 months. That comes out to $140k per job for 6 months or $240k per year salary for each job saved. There is no reason that saving one private sector job should cost the government $140k and only save the jobs for 6 months. Especially considering most of the jobs saved are sub 100k per year jobs.

Congress can still pass a standalone bill with the items in the negotiations that were already agreed to. But my bet is that that won’t happen. I hope I’m wrong.

The House & Senate should IMMEDIATELY Approve 25 Billion Dollars for Airline Payroll Support, & 135 Billion Dollars for Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business. Both of these will be fully paid for with unused funds from the Cares Act. Have this money. I will sign now!
