POTUS is 74, his saturated O2 reportedly never dropped below 93 (low but not necessarily dangerously so), supplemental oxygen is a very common treatment protocol for COVID eight months in and of COURSE the President of the United States is going to get any and every available treatment option as early in the illness as possible.

That’s called “learning from Boris Johnson” and should not be a surprise to anybody paying attention, nor does it mean he was knocking on death’s door.

COVID has killed 210k Americans. It is a very real illness. People should take it seriously and follow basic risk mitigations for it. That said, the data shows it ain’t remotely a death sentence. The 65+ demographic (especially those with hypertension, obesity and diabetes) are at highest risk for poor outcomes, and thankfully treatment protocols are improving outcomes for all which is reflected in a death wave not following the new confirmed case wave.

That's actually not how it looks, especially since he's back home and not in the ICU. As the end-of-the-chain in national military command and control and strategic deterrence, they pull out all the stops to keep the guy functional. Especially since the VP is not 100% guaranteed to be uninfected.

Someone with his stamina and energy is probably going to have a relatively mild course of any acute bug anyway, a few extra pounds or not.

That's "literally" not what happened. Your alarmist lies do nothing positive for your credibility.

From personal experience thats how it can go. Minor symptoms for a few days....then WHAM.

And in worst cases if it really likes your physiology.... it can kill you in a matter of days.

Fortunately the potus didnt have some history major politician telling his doctors what they could and could not prescribe.

So... He went from being on his death bed (yet Tweeting and walking) to returning to the WH 2 days later. (walking BTW)He went to Walter Reed out of an abundance of caution.

Forget the fact that Pence never had to assume control for the Presidents illness.

You have officially lost whatever credibility you had left. As for your rational thought process, that is gone as well.

CNN got you again.

Maybe he's right, Trump, in his 70's and decidedly overweight, a prime target for a severe case, got a very severe case, and was healed quickly by available treatments. Seems like a great argument to open the country again. I agree, Knob!

Eliminate the word "severe" and you've got a great argument. My mother-in- law was a prime target for severe and felt nothing

Trump is lucky he isnt still living in NYC.

Cuomo would have sent him to the old folks home.

What treatments? The ones they give to presidents with the helicopter rides to their private hospital suite? Good luck getting that. 200k dead but how many more statistics are there of what people had to go through to survive and are still going through now. It’s not just death rates that matter. Do you honestly believe the POTUS has any merit with whats happening, that he actually thinks this isn’t serious and it’s just the flu? It’s a desperate attempt for the election and some are being had apparently.
