he did it correctly enough that the current administration is taking credit for it. they haven’t done anything different but sign EOs making what we’ve already been doing official, ie masks on federal property. airports had already mandated masks and he just put it on presidential letterhead. and the vax, which they condemned until they took office, was already well under way.

I dare say the praise and thanks has gone to the medical industry for "making this great vaccine." A vaccine that did indeed come about under Donald Trump's administration.

That reality stands on its own. Whether you like it or not doesn't matter one good gosh damn.

I don’t believe you should be forced by our government (I tend to think government when read statements like that). Nor do I think many things our government ‘forces’ upon us should be allowed.

It won't be government that forces it. Government will just continue to mandate stupid, clearly ineffective and inconvenient mitigations (like masks and restrictions on dining) for the "unvaccinated". It will still be your choice, but if you don't, then you never get to live a normal life again. But it is your choice. Then eventually everyone will have gotten it, even those at very low risk from COVID, but the ensuing autoimmune diseases and other issues (along with the need for boosters - don't forget we need boosters too) will keep big pharma happy for years.

what a phenomenally stupid waste of money and time this pandemic has been.

I and millions of others are already living a normal life, we don’t need the government’s permission. They only reason they’re “giving permission” now is because people are living again and the government wants us to think it’s because they’ve allowed it. They’re really just making official what most are already doing. Just like the mandates were making federally official what was already being done.

It’s a total farce.

Pretty amazing to think there are folks who truly listen to and obey those pandering fools.
My entire family and social group has been at complete normal behavior since about April 1 of 2020, some have gotten the bug, most haven’t, not a one more severe than a sniffle.
When I see someone post something along the lines of ‘can’t wait to see my friends again’ it just makes me weary.
Complete idiocy.

Complete idiocy.

Not even a joke, saw an old co-worker post his vaccine card and say, “can’t describe how amazing it feels to know I’m one step closer to hugging my family and friends again!”

It would have made me laugh, except people like him are all over CA and also in official positions, keeping us in this nightmare
