Foreign governments will require it and even for the foreign governments that don't require it, the airlines that serve them might. Better plan on getting the vaccine if you're going to travel beyond the borders of the US.
And in a couple of years when the covid hype is over, people will have gotten vaccinated for no reason.

Once upon a time, in a country far, far, away, I had my civilian passport and two (2) official passports. Why two official passports? Because one was for Greece and the other was for Turkey, because if you went to EITHER country and had been in the other one within a year, they quarantined you because they alleged the other country was filthy and had cholera. Didn’t matter if you had a shot record showing cholera immunization or not. It wasn’t about public health - or any sort of biology.

It was strictly politics. They simply wanted to punish anyone who was associated with their enemy.

I assume you are a pilot since you post here. How are you gonna tell your company you can't work international flights because you don't think you should have to get a COVID shot because you personally think it's not necessary?

If you DO get the shot to keep your job, will it have been for no reason?

What PAX airlines of any significance don’t require masks at this point?

Also, want to bet that masks will still be required even if confirmed vaxed?

It's probably going to be soon.

WHO vaccination records (the yellow card) has been standard stuff for decades. I have a drawer full of them with old passports. You needed it for yellow fever, at a minimum. Once arrived in ZAR, one passenger didn’t have the record for yellow fever, we’d tech’s at Libreville for 45 minutes. Gabon is endemic, took a lot of convincing to avoid a visit to the hospital.

There might be a few, but you missed my point. Masks are mandated on aircraft by the airlines that operate them, not the government.

I think we will all be wearing masks in public for at least the next 2 years.

Funny thing about governments, is that they will never know if that needle actually went into your arm or not. The more you know. 😉
