Default Currently 4.7% of Americans have been ...

.... fully vaccinated with the two shot vaccination although full protection of those just vaccinated will take another two weeks to build. Roughly one in eight people have received at least a single dose and in 10 to 14 days after injection will be at low risk for serious/ fatal injection.

The severe cold weather is disrupting immunization planned campaigns in part of the country.

It is still a slow slog and the majority of immunity out there is still likely attributable to people who have been infected with and recovered from COVID.

For general news I think Reuters and CNBC have the best quality articles without injecting a whole lot of opinion.

If I’m looking for hard numbers then I’d go straight to the sources that are publishing them.

Really? CNBC has articles daily coming from a college dropout about his opinion on viruses, epidemics, vaccines, and climate...none of which this person is qualified to be giving advice on. Such high quality reporting. Really goes to show, you can buy just about anything. Quality journalism isn’t going to come from a corporate ‘news’ source.

There are several reasons for this lag, Air Force Brig. Gen. Paul Friedrichs told Military Times on Thursday, most of them similar to reports out of every corner of the country.

“What we’re seeing right now is similar to what we’re seeing across the entire United States, in that there’s ... a higher percentage of people who are older who are opting to have the vaccine, and it trends down with age,” Friedrichs said.Friedrichs could not offer an estimate of the take rate for the vaccine, as medical providers are not required to report up the chain if someone declines. The emergency use authorization renders the vaccine voluntary, and widespread distrust and misinformation have turned many off to the idea of inoculation.

Once more people have been vaccinated and DoD is better able to educate people on the risks and benefits, Friedrichs said, he hopes the vaccination rates will increase.

Some of us have e had really bad reactions to stuff they have inappropriately administered.

Anthrax vaccine and an ongoing condition caused by a bad batch has been causing me to grow lipomas like I'm farming them.

Also was given flu shot while I was recovering from the flu, and that caused a bad reaction.

Not getting it.

Sounds like you shouldn't. I wouldn't either in your shoes.

According to the Navy, I've now had Corona TWICE.

I do question the accuracy of the testing. First time, late 2019. Bad cold / mild flu for a couple days followed by a month of annoying cough that wouldn't go away.

This round? Nothing. And I've supposedly been positive for 40+ days this round.

(they are deploying me regardless, rules are for when they are convenient for DoD)
