Great!!!! I have daughter who just turned 2. We were planning a trip the end of the month and there's no way she'll wear a mask! I don't know what to do now? She's not required to wear a mask at her preschool. In fact no one under the age of 5 at her school has to wear a mask. How do you make a 2 year old wear a mask when she has the attention span of about 30 seconds?

I wonder if there is more to the story. In the article that flightmedic posted she had her mask off to take a selfie.....I’m wondering if this family had a few warnings (granted that selfie was from a different flight).
as far as two year olds go....I have 4 kids. 2 of them would have worn a mask no problem the other 2 not so much. |

Exactly. No one can provide any scientific evidence that masks actually make a difference. Show me a randomized controlled study that shows wearing a mask reduces transmission rates. Not someone’s opinion, but an actual scientific study. I’ll wait.......

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...sars-cov2.html But yeah, pilots are smarter than the CDC. |
From the article you referenced:
“Data regarding the “real-world” effectiveness of community masking are limited to observational and epidemiological studies.” Which is my point, in that there are no randomized controlled studies. These are benchmark. The CDC “recommends” wearing masks. But do we want to make policy based on this? That’s for someone in a higher paygrade than me. Just be informed, thats all I’m saying. |
