Funny thing is for me, the Navy hasnt had a doc look at me, I've been locked in my house and threatened with UCMJ charges if I leave for anything other than emergency medical care.
Zero treatment, monitoring, anything.

Well if you feel in any possible danger call 911, and they can pay for the bus ride to the ER.

That's the goal going into the second week. Sounds like your doctor is following current standards of care which is good There are unfortunately a lot of doctors that are either not versed or not following the current standards of care.

Day 8 from first symptoms. During the day I feel almost back to normal. Maybe a slight runny nose and occasional cough. Took my first ‘field trip’ outside of my bedroom and made a short lap walking around the neighborhood. Sometimes it felt like I needed to yawn, but I couldn’t. Came home and my O2 was 95-96. After resting for a bit it’s back up to 97-98. Took the final dose of azithromycin this morning. There are still 3 days of prednisone remaining.
Doc says that Friday (day 10) if I haven’t had a fever for 24 hours and other symptoms improving I can come out of quarantine. I think my symptoms are improving, but I still don’t feel 100%. Hard to tell if that is physiological, or it is all in my mind - anxiety, hypochondria. Sure would be nice if there were a test to tell you that you’re out of the woods.
cant Wait for this to be over.

Good to see you on the mend, brother!
Did you ever figure out where you got it?

Yeah, I've been talking about that for months, the medical system will turn you away until basically you are dying. We lost a friend of the family that way. The countries that treat immediately have almost a 0% CFR outside of the very weak elderly, which would have died from any disease.

Glad you're on the other side of it, Zap! Just as a data point, I had a lingering cough for about 5 days after day 10, but as I understand it you're not contagious by day 10 in mild cases. The only way to know for sure is a rapid antigen test (the one that goes WAY up your nose. It's not necessary to do that per the CDC, but thats how you would know. I tested negative by day 21 from first symptoms via the antigen test.
