The only way to know for sure is a rapid antigen test (the one that goes WAY up your nose. It's not necessary to do that per the CDC, but thats how you would know. I tested negative by day 21 from first symptoms via the antigen test.
Thanks, glad you are doing well! Just curious how come you decided on getting the second test? Just wanted to be sure?

Not me, but someone else wanted to be sure

This statement is not scientifically proven or even agreed upon in the scientific/medical community. Too many conflicting studies and many are dubious in nature that point to Vitamin D deficiency as the primary cause of increased COVID mortality. Take vitamin D if you desire. But don’t spread unproven opinions as facts. Enough of that is out there already.

In regards to your paraphrase: “At this point, at least half, but probably more like 80% of the deaths from Covid, are from vitamin D deficiency”... the Healthline article this was listed in had this one small but very important statement:

“It looks like patients with a poor vitamin D status may have more severe COVID-19,” he told Healthline. But the new study didn’t find that relationship.”

By the way, if you did obtain you info from healthline, the medical profession considers this site as a notorious provider of poor and unproven health related information.

Lie, deny, make counter accusations. Feed the Navy S *** and keep them in the dark.

Big Navy's response to COVID on the spectrum of potential threats to readiness makes the rest of the country look like golden boys. You know the numbers better than I do, but this is very silly.

It's a prime example of what happens when you promote people past their level of useful consciousness while constantly telling them they're the best. You end up with arrogant morons making policy for everyone without regard to anything other than whatever their new fashionable metric is.

Well, that sounds like pretty much GOVERNMENT, not just the Navy.

Come to think of it, sounds a little bit like some of my company’s management too...

In fairness... active duty covid death numbers have been minuscule, due to age demographics, health, and fitness. Like single digits, with more in the reserves (older, and not-so-fit demographic). We literally have more active-duty motorcycle deaths on any three-day weekend than we've had total covid deaths.

I just ordered some quercetin on amazon. Other than that been hitting the vitamin D3 capsules and tons of vitamin C.

Hey Zap -

I've been lurking on this but wanted to say I appreciate the play by play of your experience. Luckily, thus far my family and I have been spared but it is good to see a day by day breakdown.
Apologies if I missed it but roughly what age are you? I know a couple of the senior fellas (55-60) at my airline got hit hard while the younger guys (30-35) did better.
Once again, glad you're on the mend. Please keep the updates coming if you have longer lasting issues.

Thanks for the kind words. Day 9 and it’s feeling like a lingering cold. Runny nose, minor cough (except in the morning after waking up).

to answer your question, I’m 47 years old and in otherwise good health. Could stand to lose a few pounds, but who couldn’t?

I’ll throw my info on here. I’m 26, work out six days a week and this has put me in bed for four days now.

Started with body aches, and has progressed to extreme fatigue, headache, fever, cough, the worst sore throat I’ve ever had, and upset stomach. This is day four and it is the sickest I have ever been.
