I think the importers of Chinese steel don't like it. The local producers probably have a different view. I am not a fan of tariffs but when one country is artificially lowering prices and currency rates to gain an advantage there aren't many other options. I think all trade should be free as long as we all play by the rules. Tariffs and price controls carry the risk of many unintended consequences and possible economic harm.

Agreed all parties should trade freely and fairly. Market forces, trade policies, supply & demand all doing their thing here but not the boogeyman of 'socialism' as the post I had responded to asserted.

Six Democrat mayors in

Minnesota endorse Trump

for reelection

Maxine Shen For Dailymail.com

8/30/2020Six Minnesota Democrat mayors and one former Independent mayor have endorsed President Trump for reelection after claiming that Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden hasn't done anything to help working class people.

In a letter dated Friday, six mayors from Minnesota's Iron Range - named for their iron-ore mining districts - said they were supporting Trump over Biden, after having voted Democrat in the past.

He works for a large steel manufacturer selling various forms such as rolled bars, polished steel, etc. The clients then machine those into whatever they need for their own industry.

Not what I meant. I was thinking about communist countries. All this mask thingy is just temporary, sucks, but just temporary.
