Default Steel Shortage

Steel mills idled production last year, anticipating a serious economic downturn. That didn't happen, and now they can't ramp up fast enough...

Welcome to the world of socialism where the Government runs and decides everything. Even Russia and China discovered this doesn't work. People need incentives to independently fill needs.

Have a look at lumber prices. Every resource has been seized and is being throttled to artificially drive up prices. The housing market is no different. Instead of letting foreclosures happen and letting those houses hit the market, the government is virtually taking ownership of those homes. Meanwhile new construction is almost non existent because of the high building costs. Welcome to the great reset.

“You will own nothing and you’ll be happy”

‘Stakeholder capitalism’ means that only the businesses that ‘they’ deem necessary will be able to operate or purchase the supplies necessary for that business. Otherwise it’s price gouging and high taxation until that business eventually dies.

Still think I’m just a loony tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist? How much more evidence do you need?

Oh and there’s this...

Life is about to become so unsustainable that you’ll be begging for government handouts. You’ll get what they say you’ll get. How about some lab grown meat, if you’re lucky.

The domestic steel industry was already hurting due to Trump's tariffs, but go on about Socialism...

What are you kidding? most people are never going to figure it out. they are going to get away with it. they laregly kept it a secret until the 80's they said it didnt exist then the cat was let out of the bag they admitted to it and have published documents saying they are going to do it and people are STILL too stupid to figure it out. its coming down the pipe no matter what at this point. they are going to largely get away with it. we got just a tiny taste of the future when we started having rolling balckouts here in texas. had aneighbor come to our house because they lost electricity for only one day and "couldnt handle it" lol. you think its oging to be bad when food water gas and electricity goes poof all at once. total economic collapse by the end of the this year total anarchy in less than 4 there is no recovery idiots. do the research or s t f u.

Not where I'm from it sure as hell wasnt!!

I'm not a fan of tariffs by the way....I'm just sayin' what I said above was true. Know quite a few people in the mining industry.

I believe it was 6 mayors from the MN iron range (heavy union heavy democratic) that endorsed trump to boot. Thats a true story. It made national news. I will have to find a link.

Well, my father in law sells the stuff so he knows quite well the impact it had. Certain mines may have perhaps benefited, but selling it was a whole 'nother story. Complicated issue, because some will now see it as a good thing that prices are up but others who consume it not so much. Costs are way up in the construction biz as well, which are also tied to the steel tariffs for raw material.
