Today, in a very blue college town in a deep blue state, I was lectured for not wearing a mask, OUTDOORS. Because “science”. Well, my science says being about 20’ apart with a 25 mph wind blowing between us, a mask isn’t necessary. Might have have been Knob.

I was on the ramp in Maui two days ago, loading the crew bags into the rental car, nobody else around, and the wind was blowing 30. The security guard drove up, waved me over to his car, and screamed at me "Masks are MANDATORY on the tarmac at ALL TIMES! FEDERAL MANDATE!"

This what happens when idiots empower even bigger idiots with unchecked "authority."

In today's social and political climate, it absolutely is. The degree of which can certainly be debated, but it's absolutely a stand. Many wars have been fought and lives lost in order to "go back to a previous condition."

The Union defeated the Confederacy

The United States defeated Britain in the War of 1812

Greece defeated the Ottoman Empire

I knew someone could come up with much more appropriate comparisons. Well done. 🙂

Right on cue, Mississippi follows suit.

Gov. Tate Reeves announced Mississippi will also rescind a mask mandate that required them only in certain counties—the state already dropped a statewide mask order in September—and will lift all business restrictions except in schools and a 50% capacity limit for indoor arenas.

I'm based there and will be there next week and beyond. Can't wait to not have to worry about remembering to take my mask when I leave my room!
