Texas reopens to 100%, rescinds mask mandate

It’s the way it should have been all along... people decide what level of safety they need; ops normal, social distance/mask, mask/shield, hide in the basement. no harm/foul whatever people decide to do... “you do you”

Texas just became THE place to go for spring break.

Tell that to the hospital workers that have had to deal with this. Having said that after they have all had a chance at 2 doses I would tend to agree. Hopefully Texas has taken care of most of the over 65 crowd by next Wednesday to keep deaths down.

It is too soon. But Abbott is making a political calculation that this will get him back in good graces with voters after the blizzard debacle we just went through. Lots of people blame him and his friends who hate federal regulations for the grid collapse. Hopefully the Covid numbers don’t skyrocket because of this. We all are sick and tired of the masks but I think everyone is working as hard and as fast as they can to get the virus under control so that there is no need for them. Mandates or not until people FEEL that it’s safe out there to not wear a mask, things are not going to get back to normal.
Spring break starts kicking right after the 10th. Probably will see an influx of people traveling to Texas to escape mask mandates and lockdowns. Will be an interesting month.
