I trust cdc total deaths more than “I work in life insurance”
Insurance companies are pretty good at making money. Trust whatever makes your heart feel good, I’m just stating facts.

Literally the only difference is what column the cause of death goes into.
So let me get this straight...

One of the biggest trolls of this website is suddenly serious and is asking us to take his word that an unnamed insurance company, of which he has observed anedotal data, hasn't seen a rise in death claims in 2020.

Is that what I'm seeing? Because if so...

HAHHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHA!

Okay. I got that out of my system. There are 100 reasons this could be false, namely the kind of people who can afford term life insurance aren't the ones dying from COVID.

In any case, I'll believe the CDC numbers over anonymous internet trolls. Sorry.

Funny coming from the one that can only last a couple months before you get banned and come back under a new username, but I am the troll. Thanks for the laugh! You would think all life insurance companies would be taking it in the shorts, but they aren’t. A lot of them are publicly traded companies with the data out there, but you do you.

So you are saying there are zero excess deaths? No more than any other year at all?

The CDC figures are for one year, insurance companies and any other long-term analysis looks at many years. We haven’t had a pandemic in a century, average out these pandemic deaths over 100 years and it’s not even blip. Yes, 500,000 excess deaths THIS year. As Keynes said, in the long term, we’re all dead. Fearmongers unite.

Nope, just a normal year for us and many other life insurance companies. In fact, every employee got a pay raise this year.
