Interesting about Mecca. Didn't think Saudi Arabia would take such a hard line, but I guess when you have people coming from all over the world into one space, it does make a nice little international petri dish.
I haven't read too far into these, but it sounds like most vaccine passports are an app where you'd upload an image of your vaccination card or just its details? Sounds easy to fake, especially when you consider the multitude of avenues someone could get vaccinated and lack of centralized database - the record keeping must be spotty at best.

Many US Universities will require vaccines for the fall semester (assuming regular FDA approval this summer)...
