Population in the US is about 65 million under age 16.
About 260 million are 16 and above.
Latest I have heard, about 138 million already have at least the first shot.
Latest I have heard is about 30% of those 16+ will not take the vaccine, about 78 million.
260-138-78=44 remaining to be vaccinated that are willing.
44/(65+260)=14% of the entire population to go, that will take the vaccine
We are rapidly approaching full vaccination. That is stunning in 4+ months of vaccinations. Essentially just over a year since the virus was identified in the US. Operation Warp Speed is a resounding success, with three vaccines approved for use in the US.
Maybe we can coax some of those that won’t take it to get the vaccine. They will continue to see if the vaccine is safe and is needed for those under 16.
Meanwhile, there are second vaccinations that still need to be done for some.
