Default Michigan leading the pack in Covid numbers

Despite having some of the most restrictive policies in the nation, they're leading the country in daily new cases - in fact doubling Florida and Texas' rates.

Michigan continues to lead the nation in new COVID-19 cases. The state’s 7-day moving average for daily cases was 6,949 on Friday -- the highest since November. The 7-day death average was 47 on Friday, slightly higher than the last two weeks. The state’s fatality rate is 2.2%. The state also reports “active cases,” which were listed at 175,000 on Friday.
Friday’s update included a total of 8,955 new cases and 40 additional deaths. It was the second highest single-day case total in Michigan since the start of the pandemic. On Nov. 20, 2020 the state reported a total of 9,779 cases, its highest case total to date.

You jest but there is a twisted narrative developing blaming all of Michigan’s woes on Florida!

Of course it’s all Florida’s fault. Heaven for bid we keep our economy open and not fall in line with the Left’s agenda..

I heard about that. Something about the vacationers going to Florida and bringing Covid back with them. Hilarious. Shift that blame!

Yes but to believe that you’d have to dismiss the fact that apparently the vacationers from the other 48 states aren’t importing it back, only the Michiganders 🤔 I think they are just floating this balloon to see how high it gets 🤷🏼‍♂️

Michigan has been opening since February, indoor dining etc. Schools are open, sports activities etc. I’d hardly call that most restrictive. Incidentally that’s where the outbreaks are coming from as well as daycare facilities. Also apparently they’ve had a more contagious strain. Relaxing everything too soon and before people have been fully vaccinated maybe is the cause?

Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, etc. would point to that not being the case at all.

IDK FL looks a little up. No actually it’s confirmed, FL is up. I guess you have a very different definition of “at all”
