Your anti-Trump religion is what's laughable. Where's the balance in thinking gone? Covidiocy has been exhibited by both sides. Trump/Dems/Repubs/WHO/Fauci/MEDIA- They ALL blew it. The over and under-reactions are an embarrassment to all. Enjoy your panic and AOC-types.

So Biden is responsible for something that happened before he took office?

Id give the credit to biontech and the other scientists who developed it. We just bought more. But if it will get more shots in the arms of the people who are reluctant to get vaccinated then people can credit whoever they want. I just hate the mental gymnastics of the people who say that trump and operation warpspeed saved the world and in the same breath refuse to take the vaccine because it was a rushed emergency use drug that came out too fast (+/- the words: globalists, Fauci, AOC, Microsoft, freedom)

Exactly this. Trump bought the vaccines. That's it. While that was a key piece of puzzle, there are thousands of more worthy contributors to this recovery.

So when I see people on this forum trying to pin the accolades solely to Trump's chest, it's eye-rollingly transparent and sycophantic.

Complete foolishness. Does Lincoln deserve credit for bringing the country through the civil war? FDR WW2? Bush 9/11? Obama killing bin laden? Of course they do.......or did they just buy it? Idiotic statement.

Edit: Meant to reply to wutface. My observation stands though

Perhaps. Or perhaps that was simply the way that this pandemic was destined to go. It hasn’t been around long enough yet for us to understand it’s seasonality or the totality of other factors in its spread. Early on, everyone was declaiming the ineptness of the US with its high disease burden while other countries - like India, Brazil, and most of Africa - seemed to be spared. Perhaps, for whatever reason, the other countries just hadn’t gotten their turn yet... and now they have. We clearly don’t yet know the natural course of this disease.

Cool. So Biden deserves the credit for getting us out of covid with his vaccine rollout? It was worse than ever when trump left office, and most people blame his response to covid for the reason he wasn’t re-elected? Thanks for saying that Trump let 500,000 Americans die.

I can definitely agree with than. I just take issue when the success of places like Texas are attributed to the bravery of reopening and unmasking rather than the same concept of geographically sporadic rises and falls. I don’t think the answer to that is to do nothing and let viruses virus. And now with vaccines it is harder to attribute credit and blame.

”worse than ever”????? It had just started a month before. Yes there will be hiccups at the very beginning of such a massive project. Biden is in charge now and would face blame if the rollout failed so yes he deserves some credit for how well it has gone compared to the rest of the world minus Israel and the Uk.

Getting rid of red tape and speeding up the process had exactly nothing to do with the success either...
