Here we go again
So how do we think this new lockdown in AMS is going to effect WB flying, network, and possible growth, plus our investment in the KLM/Air France group.
Please let’s not make it a Covid lockdown gripe fest, but how this will effect us. PLEASE. |

I was just reading the article. It may not just be AMS. Sounding like France, Italy and UK headed that way also. My next 6 weeks are going to suck bad. If this continues I’ll come back to the 320. I expected a year of this crap when I got awarded the 330. 4 months left of that year and it’s gotten worse not better.

This is one of the big reasons (of many) I chose not to reinstate to WB for now. I figured we'd have 2ish years (min) of this up and down of lockdowns. For now, I'll happily accept domestic flying, where I can freely go out and about, rather than constantly trying to figure out/comply with the latest covid requirements for each particular country. Best of luck, hope it's not too bad for ya. |
New POTUS address on Tuesday, should shed some light. Since it's going to take a few days, I'd guess there's some back and forth going on between regulatory agencies on the state, national, and international levels.
Best tea leaf reading until then would be to watch the usual stocks: airlines, cruise ships, hotels, etc. |

Which if I can base it on my 1992 land cruiser is going to about 350k + miles Oh yeah, I told you this crap is never going to end. Not in 2 years not in 5. Not until we come together and resist this BS |
It's the stupidity of the policy makers that have made this Pandemic last longer. Instead of targeting the most vulnerable group, those that are unvaccinated with no previous infection, they've decided just to make a blanket get vaccinated everyone compaign, ****ing off a significant subset of people that have little to no risk of reinfection, let alone severe disease and death.
Now they are getting all out of sorts about cases when the focus should on Hospitalizations, Severe Diease and Death(which again, are overwhelming unvaccinated with no previous infection) . This is similar to how far left Democrats(I'm a Democrat BTW) get obsessed with Green Energy and adopt policies that deter oil and gas investments and now are shocked oil prices are thru the roof. I could take WB B with a crap senority and god knows what on layovers (I'm unvaccinated and am staying that way) Back to the ER which is basically a NB cat now and worse trips at 60% than I used to get as the junior lineholder NB B with 20ish percent seniority NB A with 95% or so.. Between international being a feces show, and even 20% on NBB being uncommutable garbage, I figured I'd give NB A a shot. If I'm gonna get garbage, might as well be the highest paid garbageman I can be. |
I think everyone … previously infected, vaccinated or boosted … is going to get Omicron whether they’re aware of it or not. After that it’ll mostly burn itself out. By April. After that, people can just ***** (female dog) about the TA.
