pre-covid, approximately 800k people had heart attacks per year. Do you seriously think that number is now ~13 million?

so maybe do the tiniest amount of critical thinking before posting this nonsense (or even believing it).

Heart attack deaths in the 25-44 age group are up 30%.

The first sentence of the article makes it clear researchers linked the cause to COVID, not the vaccine. “A new study has been published that links the increase in heart attacks amongst adults between the ages of 25 and 44 to COVID-19.”

The actual study breaks it down into covid-related AMI excess deaths (small number) and non-covid related AMI excess deaths (~10x bigger number). The only attempt at explaining the excess deaths that were non-covid related was: "Indeed, the effects of social distancing and stay-at-home mandates, reductions in outpatient visits and rehabilitation services, and deferment of elective procedures are all likely to have contributed to the overall excess of AMI-associated deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic." I'm sure there are plenty of people that will run with the "it was the vaccine notion," although the study makes no such linkage.

I think this increase of heart attacks is due to a deficiency of KUDOS. Kudos are known to improve cardiovascular health. We should all give each other more kudos, every day.

My understanding is that there was a CheckAirman (LCA) in the other seat.
May or may not be true, but the results are what we expect- A safe landing!

Let's hope this Captain is not only ok but gets back in the air ASAP (once he feels up to it!)
THIS is exactly why Sick Leave and LTD are more important then some understand~

This kind of event highlights the differences in a sick leave policy like we have vs Delta. Depending on what actually happened, he could be down for 6+ months. The Delta type plan sounds attractive until faced with a serious issue. Most of the people that I’ve heard pushing for a Delta type plan are those who burn their sick bank for “flex vacation days”. I used to be one of them until I had a medical wake-up call. If I was looking at an extended medical leave I’d much rather have 700 hrs in my sick bank and burn that at full pay with benefits than deal with LTD. Personally, I’d rather increase our accrual rate and improve LTD under our current plan than have just enough sick time to take me to LTD under a plan like that at Delta.

You wanna know what causes worse outcomes than the vaccine? A MILD COVID INFECTION
