Last time I was in T3 it wasn't too far removed from the scenes in Airplane! The old TWA terminal still felt a lot like it.

Kind of curious why don't level it and rebuild something new.

That whole compound could use a leveling and rebuilding. Way too much traffic for its current configuration. They need to level the hangars west of TBIT and start over with a new terminal and then do the same from the East working back to TBIT.

They are leveling T3 (well, from the floor up). They have to leave the baggage infrastructure in place below the floor.

Already being taken care of as we speak (type...) The only problem I see is no gym in the new pilot area!!!

What I don't know is why they don't tear down all those maintenance hangars to the west of Tom Bradley (Eminent Domain anyone?) and build parallel terminals like ATL. They are gonna keep putting bandaids on the problem and never really fix it. When they finish all the 'upgrades' it will be out of date.

In my next life I am going to be an airport contractor.
