I've never seen things so bad 2 days after a storm event. Pages of open time and scheduling is not covering them. In the flight status flights say "waiting on pilots". It's like everyone just threw the towel in, and has given up on Virginia Ave.

Have a buddy that was at the airport for hours yesterday and today with slips in to fly that didn't get called. Finally gave up and commuted home.

We waited for FAs for many hours last night and didn't leave ATL until 2:30am. When they got to the plane they told us they'd been at the airport since 6pm. Something isn't going right.

After being told they didn't have anyone to cover my trip since I was having commuting issues, they PD'd my trip any way. They strongly encouraged me to put in slips to get the time back but I think I'll do what they ask and sit at home with my family and enjoy the unexpected time off.

Just got this email from DALPA:

Due to the continued IROP, our Scheduling Committee experts are experiencing extremely high call volume. As a result, DPN 24/7 have extended their hours and will be available until the IROP is over.

Ummmm....how do you "extend" hours for a 24/7 operation? 😁

It has to be some kind of automation failure again.. It appears they are not even really trying to cover trips. Sure seems like things have fallen apart since Anderson retired.

Flew into ATL at 11:30am and waited 10 hours for flight attendants to do one leg to DAY. Timed out and went home instead. Heard that the flt attendant lounge was full of people waiting around. Something is definitely broken.
