A330 study guide

New to the airplane and going to CQ. I was told that one of our pilots has an unofficial but good study guide that can be downloaded.

Check your PM. Very good guide. One stop shopping for CQ anyways.

That's what I was looking for, thanks!

If your seniority is better than 9200, may I remind you that we are starting Africa again this Fall.

Where in Africa does the 330 go these days? Or this fall, rather.

Bonepilot469 04-19-2017 10:46 AM

Djibouti?!

BigHitterLlama 04-19-2017 10:50 AM

Same here if I may! Who doesn't love Africa...?

Is this study guide good for initial 330 training? If so, I would love to get a copy.

As long as we stay at the Kempinski hotel. Nice place!

iceman49 04-19-2017 06:29 PM

You don't need no stinking study guide, Delta training is excellent!

Cavuk 04-22-2017 12:59 PM

Can I get the guide too please? 320->330 on the next AE (maybe).

RunFast 04-22-2017 02:49 PM

Going to 330 initial next month from the 320. Worth it?

It's a excellent guide to the aircraft. His discription of the auto thrust system is the best around. He also updates it with current changes.
Having said all that he charges for the product. You can forward it but ethically you should simply purchase it from him. Here is a link to purchase it.

Pretty sad that you need to purchase a product that training should be doing.

A very good point.

Although whenever lawyers touch manuals you're going to have some gaps. It's not always that people in training dont have good ideas.

BTW changes are coming. Soon youll watch the 12 or so primary maneuvers on video prior to your event. Basically for the first time stuff is going to be demoed. Briefs will get smaller.

Are any of you good at hacking? :D

If so... go here http://dream-air.ru/index/pilotam/0-28

On the phone it asks do you want to translate from Russian to English, say yes. On computer, I have no idea because I'm on my phone.

If knowledge is a bucket of water waiting for you to soak it up, then there's a tub waiting for you there. But it's 2007 material, ancient history to a teenager and just yesterday for us. It's also not delta. I appreciate the same subject presented two different ways though so it's nice. Fwiw there are instances airbus explains it better and sometimes delta explains it better.

Also the oe guide is fantastic on most fleets.

And if you get a chance on VA Avenue, go see 350 sim.

It's an intergalactic apple store with cockpit windows.

Good, in a galaxy far far away, the philosophy was, that if it was good enough to be gouge, than it was good enough to be in training. No more of the individual instructor gouge, it all disappeared overnight.
Pilots should expense the cost of any supplements😀
