MD-90 going bye-bye?
Latest rumor from the guys on the 2nd floor...
Heavy maintenance on the -90 is almost 4x the cost of -88...Therefore, the -90s are going the way of the dodo.
Anyone with 4th floor knowledge here to confirm?

There will be a RFP to replace the MD90's in the Aug timeframe. I am sure it will include the expected delivery times. Probably 4 or 5 years out before the first swapout.

We have almost 200 A321's and 737-900's still to be delivered. They don't need any C series aircraft to park the 88's. They have put out they are issuing a RFP in AUG.

If the C-Series is as big of a success as it appears to be on paper and in our collective heads, we won't have to boycott Boeing. There will be another major player in town, one that will hopefully force Boeing to innovate instead of stretch.
