Ending Seniority
Hello Delta Brothers and Sisters,
United guy here.
I was wondering if any of you were bored and had a way to find out where someone who is, say 30, would wind up at retirement with regards to seniority?
I'm currently trying to do the same for UAL and will be glad to share numbers.
I'd like to look back a few years also.
My reason for asking is just to get a feel for how hiring waves and timing affect career outcomes.

The seniority tools on the ALPA MEC page only show your seniority progression. There is a third party tool that you can put in anyones number to see their states, but is a pay for play program. Maybe someone pays for it and can post the info for a 30 year old hired today.
I started about 2 years ago at 37 and if I stay till 65 will retire around 1000 (assuming that no one senior to me retires early or medicals out of course)

Overall seniority might be a moot point, base seniority is probably more relevant. For example, from what I hear at delta of the top 1,000 pilots on the list about 90 are in NYC on anything. That's kinda drastic. So someone who wants NYC but is only gonna be 1,000-2000 at retirement would still do very well in certain bases, moreso than other bases.

That seems unlikely. I was hired almost 10 years ago at 26 and will barely break the top 5. We've been hiring guys younger than 26. I would think you need to be 24-25 to reach number 1.
