Another JV where the other guy has 787s on order. Sigh.

What are you saying? TH coffee is way better than the SB bitter stuff!

Maybe Delta's new Netherlands tax advantaged subsidiary will take delivery of the first 25 CS's and turn around and lease half to West Jet and half to Aero Mexico for hub to hub from their hubs to DTW ATL NYC MSP LAX MSP SEA shuttle type operations.

Suppose Americans flying from Bozeman to Boston would be willing to connect in Montreal if it’s cheap enough?

It looks like Delta found a way to mitigate all our retirements in next ten years.
Say goodbye to WB flying with all the JV and now we can see a decrease in NB flying with our southern and now northern border JVs in the works.
Delta paved the way for RJ flying and now will pave the way for lost jobs to foreign airlines, but in the meantime please send your letters of protest about the ME3 to your politicians ASAP!
You young guys need to wake up, my career is coming to an end, but can't believe this pilot group is not in an uproar over this JV situation!
How long will you be able to milk that retro check?

WestJet to gain market share with Delta joint venture: Moody's

Huh, so if WestJet is gaining market share in the JV, who is losing it? They are doubling their fleet...how are we doing?

While I agree that Scope is the absolute number one issue right now, you're doing a huge disservice to the pilot group by mocking efforts to stop the illegal dual subsidized foreign poachers. Resisting that is absolutely essential. Just because the company is against them too doesn't mean the enemy of my enemy is my enemy. We can (and must) do several things at one time.

That is a very interesting question...

Until Delta starts a JV with the ME3.
If ALPA national gave half the effort in protecting our jobs from low cost pilots, low time pilots of foreign countries and the future whipsawing that is just a matter of time to occur on our property with Aeromexico and Westjet, we might actually call it a union, but until that time its just an association and all the chest thumping against the ME3 is just a show while the real threat is at our borders with poorly written JV language and open skies helping every airline but the US Airlines.
Yes it was a run on sentence!
I also wrote my politicians against ME3, so were are the quick links to protest this upcoming whipsawing against us as related to AeroMexico and Westjet?
This is going to make the RJ sellout look good! Maybe there will be a day DALPA pilots look past payrates/retro and relize there is a lot more to a contract then that!

This sentence I agree with. I'd be in favor of MEMRAT for any new CBA to include full and complete MEMRAT without section 3 as a gateway to then get to view and separately MEMRAT the pay tables. Only when both are approved do we have a new CBA.

We have to break the cycle of being bribed with our own money.
