Reroute Pay
I had a question about reroute pay. I got extended on a 4-day trip into a 5-day trip. The credit time for the trip increased proportionally and I also received 12:19 of reroute pay.
1. Is reroute pay paid at single or double rate? (The PWA is very hard to read in this area) 2. The reroute pay doesn’t show in the time card on the top where the trips are listed. Only in the reroute pay block at the bottom. I assume for total pay hours you are taking your total up top and then adding the reroute pay on that. Is that correct? Thanks for your help! |
It’s single pay/no credit above what you get paid for the pairing. Yes, add the reroute pay listed on the left, mid-way down your time card to your total pay listed.

How about if you are re-routed on a GS. Specifically, I was awarded a 4 day GS and it was shortened to a 3 day after re-route. My time card GS pay has been reduced to 15:45, is this correct?
Thanks |
That is correct for the GS portion of your timecard. However, you should get 5:15 credit (single not double pay since you did not fly it) for the fourth day they took off of your trip.

Like I said in the other thread on reroutes, if your airport is closed due to weather, then you will be paid straight pay for the additional day, not reroute pay...just happened to me in the last LGA snow event when my 5 day became a 6 day.
