Hopefully you're posting this in the corporate group too. 121 flying at a major, getting hired right now, is the best deal going IMHO. All corporate jobs are not created equal, but I wouldn't take most of them and the accompanying lifestyle for less than $350k myself... and I'm not sure that exists. To each their own.

You can work here for 30 plus years and never meet your immediate supervisor, the Chief Pilot. Not one extra duty. Fly, go home.

Am also retired military. Was flying a GLEX for about the same you're making as well. Left after two years for Delta...wasn't about the money, it came down to schedule, total value of the 401K offered by DAL over the long haul, and of course the schedule and overall QOL.

I had a pretty sweet gig on my particular corporate account, all expenses covered, Marriott properties, kept all points, "Platinum/Diamond/Elite" memberships for the respective hotel chains, rental car agencies and airline of my choice for commuting. Approximately 300 hours per year, domestic and international, with great management to boot.

In the end, it came down to being able to drop the phone at the end of a rotation and not pick it up again until my next scheduled event...QOL is defined differently by everyone, but for me it really comes down to controlling my schedule.

Awesome feedback, thank you!

If it’s part 91, no mandatory retirement. If it were me I’d go to Delta and keep that door open if you still want to fly after 65.

I’m ex-mil, 12 years on the GLEX, but when I left we were entering the 12 years of stagnation, not much hiring at legacies. I got a great gig, 30 minute drive, great people, even got a pension. But, put me in your shoes, take the DL CJO.

Not enough info, as "corporate" runs the gamut from some of the best, cushiest and most secure jobs in aviation to some of the absolute worst in all regards. The pros for DL have been posted and aren't wrong. However please do understand that you will most likely take a pay and QOL hit for at least a little while.

You'll have to consider the commute, the possibility of different kinds of flying that you may not like for a while, and at least one (likely more) aircraft initial schools that will make you FNG again for a while (especially the first one) compared to the likely positive state of complete cruise control you're in now.

Based on the very limited info, I'd say go DL. However if your corporate job is one of the really good ones and your QOL is high and you like all the other aspects of it, I'd probably keep the bird in the hand.

Good luck either way!
