Of those 190 only about 130 can hold another Capt seat in MSP.

The real losers in MSP are guys who didn’t want to fly the 88 or be bottom feeder on the 737/320 will most likely end up blocked on any added captain seats to MSP by displacements. The big lynch pin is if the 717 base opens in MSP. Every week it’s a different answer.
Supposedly they would love to have a big msp 717 base not 3 717 sims and a mass need for IQs is a limiting factor. Not to mention C Series delays not helping the ability to move bases around.

737s are probably going to be the savior there followed by 320s.

123 M88A displacements by June.

"....In addition to the virtual base test this month we also plan to release an AE on April 16. The focus of this AE will include
the following items:
• A350 Captain positions to support continued delivery of the aircraft.
• Additional new hire positions on the 717, 320, 73N and 7ER fleets. We do not anticipate needing any additional
new hire positions on the M88; we will selectively backfill ATL M88 F/O positions as needed. We anticipate that
the M88 staffing requirement for summer 2019 will be about 750 crews (vs. 1,000 headed into summer 2018).
• We are currently projected to have 1,014 Captains on the M88 in June, based on the hours that Network
currently has scheduled we anticipate only needing 891 (with a 72 hour ALV). Because of this, and forward
projections of block hour trends on the M88 we will begin displacing Captain’s on the April 16th AE
• The CS100 will not be on this AE. We are now expecting to open the NYC base on an AE in the June-August
timeframe. We’ll have more details as the delivery timeline is finalized......"

I'm just going by what was posted by on the March AE:

"We will be reducing M88 staffing to ~700‐750 ATL based crews by summer 2019. This means that we are anticipating a full closing of the MSP M88 base in the next year as Network collapses both the M88 and M90 flying to ATL by summer 2019. We currently have ~1,000 M88 Captains. Our goal is to shift most of the staffing off the MSP M88 using attrition. The 10 crews on the MSP 73N for the March bid are intended to begin this process. If we cannot get pilots to move using this method, I would expect displacements from the MSP M88 base to begin as early as fall 2018."

So new hires with May class dates won’t be seeing any 88 positions?

Well. It's not completely steam gauges. There is some technology in there even if you have to get friendly with the jumpseater to start the engines.

I followed RA to AmTrak, but I tanked my sim ride by blowing thru two reds and wacking a little old lady in a stuck Prius.
