Default iPad Thread

We are going to need a thread dedicated to this thing.

It’s cool. It’s fast. Battery is awesome. GPS. Nice.

But my content locker keeps crashing when I do multiple highlights. When I come back to a document it says it’s corrupted.

That's a known vmware bug.

Can we blame delta IT for that, or too soon?

Has anyone heard how long the refresh cycle will be for the iPads? The Surface was about 2 years. Me thinks the iPad could be pushed to 3 or even 4 years.

Just start FCR’ing it now. Should gain some traction after 12-18 months.

Does the GPS show your position on the taxi chart?

Yes. But no AMM as of now.
It also shows your position on the approach plate but not the STAR/SID.

New content locker will be much better than current one. Hopefully it's the same one we used when we were doing the BYOD thing. Searchable across all documents, persistent highlights, etc. Not an in-house program.
