I bid NB A last MOAB and went to training within weeks of the bids closing and then there were -88 A's that needed the short course upgrade and they didn't go for almost 9 months. Impossible to guess. Absolutely bid what you want and want what you bid because anything is possible. I don't see the company stopping the annual 365 day MOAB's anytime soon because it gives them a tremendous amount of flexibility.
I think junior guys and gals who contemplated upgrade last summer and didn't pull the trigger will regret it because others aren't going to wait anymore if they only get basically one chance a year for an A slot. The next time the upgrade time will drop again is a few AE's after the C-Series are introduced. |

I've had my eyes on 330b for a bit and perhaps I can hold it in this next big bid. I could have in the last MOAB. My concern would be leaving a B position where I sit about 75% and moving to 99% on the 330. The reason for my concern is the last AE where displacements happened. Good reason for concern or am I not seeing that clearly?

Yes, but there will be other pilots coming from other bases/fleets to those positions also.. |

I see someone else beat me to this thought....so giving him full credit....but keep in mind a lot of guys from other bases will bid back to MSP. No way the bottom MSP captain after the next AE is even close to being as junior as the current junior MSP captain. PS...edited to say here is what I found from CR “M88 displacements will be absorbed with incremental positions on the MSP 73N, MSP 320, and the new MSP 330 base”. Incremental..not 1:1. and sounds like they are including the 330 vacancies in the positions available to absorb the displacements. |
