Are you sure that is what they said? I kind of read it as 1000 turbine is preferred, perhaps in addition to the previous requirements but I only read it on Facebook. If it is only 1000 turbine time does that mean it doesn't matter what license you hold?

Yes. It was Required before. Now just preferred.

This will be good news to regional Captains with something in the 700-1000 Turbine hours, and probably will also help Endeavor pilots flow a little sooner.

Maybe I'm getting my flow programs mixed up, but doesn't Endeavor require 24 months as Captain to flow? If so, not sure making the 1000 preferred helps those who wait on the flow.

You still need 1,000 Part 121 hours to upgrade and no regional has turboprops in the States so I don't think it'll do much for this demographic.

as meme said, any RJ CA already has 1,000 FW turbine time. The requirement was not 1,000 TPIC, just 1,000 turbine and now that’s gone.
